Building A Word And Spirit Church

I’m blessed to be part of a church that is full of spiritual gifts and committed to careful exposition of the scriptures.

Our lead elder Nick Sharp has just started a sermon series on Paul’s 1st missionary journey (Acts 13-14) and for a few weeks now has been digging into what it means to be a word and spirit church.

Antioch was a church where “there were prophets and teachers” working together in harmony. Sadly in our day most western churches tend to love one ministry and despise the other. If you long to be involved in building the kind of church where these two gifts flow together I’m sure you will find these two excellent (and free) sermons helpful. Acts 13:1 “Now there were in the church…prophets and teachers”

Acts 13:2 “The Holy Spirit said, ‘set apart for me Barnabas and Saul'”
